Dr. Akkan Syver presented two articles during 21 Century Maritime Silk Road two-days Seminar. After the Seminar in Quanzhou, in China Dr. Suver come together with the journalists. First day of the Seminar in the openning Ceremony Dr. Suver was the moderator of the meeting with the contribution of 18 people. In the second day, Dr. Suver was the keynote speaker during the second openning ceremony, in afternoon session, Dr. Akkan Suver was also moderator sharing it together with the Fang Zhenghui. I want to start my speech as a person who accepted the Silk Road thought as a philosophy.

As a president of Marmara Group Foundation, I am always reviewing the issue to the agenda and giving importance to this subject.

Yesterday Silk Road has three route; Northern Route, Southern Route and Southwestern Route, and one another is the Maritime Silk Road.

It is passing from the harbor of Guangzhou to the Malacca Straits, Sri Lanka and India finally it reaches Eastern Africa. Also history sources proved this.

According to history, famous explorer Marco Polo, had reach to China from maritime Silk Road. And for return, he comes back to his homeland Venice via Guangzhou Fujian harbour.

Hence, in a near future there is no obstacle for the Maritime Silk Road freedom of movement, ideas, goods and capital without path of commerce, peace and stability.

Maritime Silk Road, that brings together the countries which are the cradle of civilization, also named ‘’As a Way of Dialogue between East and West’’ because it intensifies the economic and commerce contacts.

With your permission I will make my analyses by means of cultural and religious points of “It is a Dialogue Way between East and West”

This mentioned geography consist % 60 of the world population.

This geography’s, myths, rituals and legends are sui generis. Steps and Nomadic Culture, Chinese culture, Turkish- Islamic culture, Sami, Indo – European culture, Ural- Altai Culture, Chinese Tibet culture, Helen culture, Slav culture, German culture, and Latin culture have its own ratio in this geography.

Also Mazdeism, Shamanism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism religions are living in this geography.

Occurring with the help of this richness, maritime Silk Road civilization has not collapsed although the heavy changes of era, it succeeded to preserve the essence.

 The change is great.

Contrive of the press, industrial revolution, World Wars, first step to the moon, information era, network era and the thoughts are now changed with the newborn of the new arts and the new architectures are born.

The civilization philosophy which was composed in thousand years by the classical culture, started to established bridges between past and tomorrow.

Now we are not in a dead civilizations era anymore, we are in the bridges which connect the old to new.

“Ali Baba” brand in China is a good example one of these bridges in our world.

Maritime Silk Road is a separate philosophy and a separate bridge which connecting old and new.

It is on the agenda as a separate philosophy, maritime Silk Road which connects old and new as a bridge.

Maritime Silk Road is not just an economic way but also a philosophy which consists the spiritual factors.

We have to prepare this philosophy’s unity like an orchestra. Every musical instrument should show their capacities to reach the peak for the excellent harmony. Every nation should have to take their place on this orchestra.

Each nation will perform their own musical instrument in a harmony in the Maritime Silk Road and this concert will be the prosperity, peace and stability.

Our duty is to work for peace, wealth and stability and also for taking part with our instrument as soon as possible within the opportunities that our historical and geographical rights gave us under the maritime Silk Road collectivity.

Therefore, this magnificent and oldest civilizations geography that we are living, contain in itself its seeds of our tomorrows civilizations.

When we are constructing our common future, it creates a common self-confidence feeling the shared cultural values and the strong ties between peoples and even all the interventions, people are still maintaining their presence.

“Sleeping lands for hundreds years” now waking up, lands and seas are stirring up once again and new horizons are opening in front of the Maritime Silk Road.

In a very near future, Maritime Silk Road will form a project which people, goods, ideas and capital can move around freely.

The common aspirations of civilization basin from Asia, Europe and Africa peoples will purified this old geography from tension and the conflicts, along with this it will bring peace and stability.

These people, whom are living in a region where the ocean connects them, are coming together under the target of democracy, the rule of law and in the basis of market economy. Maritime Silk Road will be the history of writing together of this bright future.

 ‘’Our generation is full of colorful and quick events.

Thoughts can change at speed of light.

Yesterday the result of long years researches obtained data can be reached in any minute today. Later on, this reached data can leave its place to another in an unexpected short time.

Up until today, definite institutions that monopolies by the international managements can be easily entered. Likewise, inside the Amazon that grow quickly and newborn at the New York Stock Exchange, ‘Alibaba’ which emerged in China, can suddenly take part as we can observe.

These are storms of change.

These storms are innovation, opportunity.

İt is significant to catch these storms and opportunities.

As Marmara Group Foundation, we are now here because of we severely believe the Silk Road thought is the opportunity of our time and philosophy of our time.

When the Silk Road happens to merge with the main road and maritime road, there will be more wealthy and stable countries.

Money will go between the countries.

Industry will develop.

Environment of trade and business will enlarge.

Purpose of the production will change and it will reach not only to national arena, it will also reach to international dimensions.

National interests will not demarcation to the state gains, contrary it will take shape according to human interests.

Hence, all these will increase the level of living for people who live in the Silk Road Geography.

Countries whose people attained prosperity are the peaceful countries. Countries who have prosperity and stability do not threaten their neighbors. They don’t pose danger for their neighbors.

Therefore, a philosophy, a road map that will bring stability and wealth for the countries take part in the Silk Road Project , will occur spontaneously. Contribution to the wealth will hold together the peace and the stability.

We believe that, together with this project, struggle with the terrorism will gain a new dimension. Once more with this project, reconciliation, peace and equal nation formula will occur.

Whatever the internal regimes of the nations are, the Silk Road door of the new world order will also be opened.  Together with this opened door, a new civilization concept which adopting multiculturalism for the history of humanity will be highly approved by our environment.

Intercultural changes will be effective and respectable as well as the change of money.

All of these important values will be presented and provided us by the Silk Road Economic Belt.’’

Chinese State Council information Minister H.E. Jiang Jianguo accepted  Akkan Suver International seminar on the 21 Century Maritime Silk Road in Fujian-Quanzhou,  Dr. Akkan Suver  attended  as a speaker.  After the meeting  Chinese State Council information Minister H.E. Jiang Jianguo accepted  Akkan Suver. In the meeting Dr. Akkan Suver mentioned about how much Marmara Group Foundation give importance to Silk Road. Dr. Suver invited the Minister to the 18. Eurasian Economic Summit.
