Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation has been honoured with the "Strategic Partnership of the Year 2017" Award by Vienna Economic Forum. Dr. Günther Rabensteiner, President of Vienna Economic Forum and Prof. Dr. Elena Kirtcheva, General Secretary and Ambassador, presented the Award to Dr. Akkan Suver. The Marmara Group Foundation was represented in the 14th Vienna Economic Forum "Vienna Future Dialogue 2017" by Dr. Akkan Suver and Ali Rıza Arslan. Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Montenegro's Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulic and Valdrin Lluka, Minister of Kosovo Ministry of Economic Development were also present at the Award ceremony.

In his speech, Dr. Suver emphasized the importance of the works of the Vienna Economic Forum at the Balkan area for the Marmara Group Foundation.

During their visit in Austria, Dr. Akkan Suver and Ali Rıza Arslan were cordially received by Dr. Heinz Fischer, President of Austria (2004-2016), Werner Fasslabend, Minister of Defence (1990-2000), Ambassador of Turkey to Vienna, H.E. Mehmet Ferden Çarıkçı and Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Austria, H.E. Ivan Milic. Throughout the receptions, Birol Kılıç and Mustafa Vural accompanied Dr. Akkan Suver.
