With the cooperation of the Maltepe Municipality and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the opening of the "100^th Year of Azerbaijan Park" was realised near Büyükbakkalköy. The Park was opened on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of Azerbaijan's national leader Haydar Aliyev. Mayor of the Maltepe Ali Kılıç, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Hazar Ibrahim, Azerbaijan parliament members Şamil Ayrım and Dr. Akkan Suver from the Marmara Group Foundation participated in the event.
