We have lost Naim Süleymanoğlu, who was known as "Pocket Hercules" in the world and who gave extraordinary prestige and honor to the Turkish World in the Olympic, World and European championships, at a very young age. Dr. Akkan Suver, Chairman of the Marmara Group Foundation, made a statement after the great champion who had 7 World Championships, 3 Olympic Championships and 6 European Championships: "the success of the legendary athlete was so big that not everyone could have been able to achieve it. His high memory will be a guide to the Turkish youth."

"We have lost Naim Süleymanoğlu. Naim Süleymanoğlu, who created miracles in the international sports world, was not only a source of pride for Turkey but also for the Turkish people all over the world. He was also so low-hearted as to present his fame to the Turkish world.

Naim Süleymanoğlu, who lifted weights three times as heavy as his own weight, broke his record for 63 times, was awarded the title of "Pocket Hercules" and had a cover for the world famous Time Magazine.

I believe that his high memory will be a guide and an example to young turkish athletes.

Today, the task of young champion candidates is to reach medals worty of him and to wave the Turkish flag in the Olympic and World Championships like he did.
