Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Istanbul Mr. Qian Bo made a presentation at the Marmara Group Foundation about the Turkey-China relations. Consul General Mr. Qian Bo brought up the politic and economic cooperation of Turkey and China emphasizing the imbalance of foreign trade against Turkey. Consul General Mr. Qian Bo underlined the importance of the Hİstorical Silk Road and stated that it would be more lucrative to be loyal to its original route. As an example of cooperation of trade he mentioned the partnerships in Solar Energy industries. Consul General Mr. Qian Bo referred to the importance of tourism and the significance of 1% of the Chinese citizens going abroad visiting Turkey. The meeting of the Marmara Group Foundation took place in a friendly atmosphere of the historical Malta Pavilion and answering questions of Prof. Sema Kalaycıoğlu, Hüsamettin Kavi and Ali Talip Özdemir, Consul General Mr. Qian Bo said "my duty is to make things easier," and invited the participants to China.
