DR. SUVER RE-ELECTED
The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Marmara Group Foundation was held at the Malta Kiosk (Malta Köşkü), the historic residence located within the garden of the Yıldız Palace. At the General Assembly presided by H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Samsunlu, the Former Minister –under the chairmanship council, Dr. Akkan Suver was re-elected as the President of the Foundation.
The new Executive Council under the presidency of Dr. Suver was composed of Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Şamil Ayrım, Engin Köklüçınar, Yüksel Çengel, Cengiz Güldamlası, Lale Aytanç Nalbant, Cafer Okray and Nuri Artok.
According to the unanimous decision, H.E. Mr. Jak Kamhi was granted as the Honorary President of the Marmara Group Foundation and H.E. Mr. Necdet Timur (R) as the dean. At his address, H.E. Mr. Kamhi stated ‘I am bound by duty to serve my country’.
At the address launched by Dr. Suver following the General Assembly, it was made mention of the international activities of the Foundation.
The President emphasized that ca. 40 countries would be expected to participate in the 19th Eurasian Economic Summit taking place on 5-7 April, 2016 in Istanbul.
