In his speech Dr. Suver made the following remarks:

As Marmara Group Foundation, we believe that our country should leave behind narrow and insignificant targets such as becoming an energy bridge or a transit country; and should set it’s sights on a consistent, rational and modern target like becoming an energy hub in the region. And we believe that in order to achieve this aim, Turkey should also be a center of energy commerce, center of energy information and a center of energy technology. With regards to the policies that are going to be implemented in 2013 and afterwards; dependency to fossil fuels should be decreased, step by step importation should be decreased, number of supplier countries should be increased, new fuel and natural gas should be produced, new, all neighboring countries oriented projects should be developed, works towards new energy should be intensified, course of action about developing energy technologies should be adopted. And this is one of the starting points of our Energy Searching Meetings.
