Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and President of World Union of the Meskhetian Turks Ziyatdin Kassanov received and Doctorate Honoris Causa from the Beykent University.

The Marmara Group Foundation Delegation who attended the ceremony have been accepted by the Rector Prof. Emin Karahan prior to the ceremony. Dr. Akkan Suver, Şamil Ayrım, Cengiz Güldamlası and Cenk Saltık from Marmara Group Foundation had a meeting with Ziyatdin Kassanov in Professor Karahan's office and exchanged views on the Turkish-Kazak relations.

TURKSOY Secretary General Düsen Kaseinov and Chairman of YÖK's Inspection Council Prof. İlyas Doğan were also present at the meeting.
