President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver has issued a message of condolonce for the passing of Syrian Patriarch Mor Ignatius Zakka I. Iwas.
''The grief we feel for the passing of Patriarch Mor Ignatius Zakka I. Iwas is deep.
We had the honor to meet His Holiness during our dialogue efforts both in Damascus and Istanbul
through His Excellency Patriarchal Vicar Yusuf Çetin.
Mor Ignatius Zakka I. Iwas served as the Patriarch of Antioch and the Eminent Leader of the Ancient Syriac world completed his life, which he spend making great services to dialogue, humanity and to the realm of faith in a time came across Evangelismos epulation of the Christian World, and passed on to eternity. We take this coinciding occurance as another sign to His Holiness' greatness.
We bow in respect in the spiritual presence of Mor Ignatius Zakka I. Iwas whose works and services accepted not only in the Middle East but across the whole world.''
