Marmara Group Foundation attended to the Baku 1st European Olympics.  As the delegation of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver, Hon. Şamil Ayrım, Hon. Cahit Karakullukçu and Lawyer Ercüment Güvercin and Muharrem Yamaç among the representations. Dr. Akkan Suver and Mr. Ayrım interviwed with Ictimai Television, Azerbaijan Television and Mir Television separately and emphasized how wonderful the European Games were.

Evaluation of Dr. Akkan Suver regarding the European Games is below;

Participating 6 thousand athletes from 50 countries, competing in 20 different branches, one of the greatest organizations in Azerbaijan history was held. Turkey attended to this organization with 19 different branches, with 192 athletes. Opening Ceremony was just wonderful in a word.

The opening show was made of spectacular choreography of light and fireworks, caused the audiences to spent pleasant moments in the stadium.

The world famous American singer Lady Gaga charmed the whole stadium with singing John Lenon’s ‘’Imagine’’ song during the ceremony.

When Turkish athletes take the floor, all of audiences stand up and brought the house down for the Turkish sportsmen and embraced them.

Ceremony opening started together with Azerbaijani singer Alim Kasimov saying "Sari Gelin" folk song. After then, nearly thousand performer took the stage and realized a choreography show which represented traditional Azerbaijan folk art.

Azerbaijan flag was formed with the players dress; received great applause from the participants filled the stadium. The show continued with Azerbaijan National Anthem and raising the flag accompanied by fireworks

During the parade the audiences applaud loudly the Turkish athletes.

Opening continued with the speeches of  First Lady of Azerbaijani and President of the Baku European Games Organizing Committee Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva and President of EOC Patrick Hickey, later than the show ended together with the President H.E. Ilham Aliyev to officially declare starting the games and with nearly 2 thousand performers to play traditional dance of Azerbaijan ‘’Yalla’’ ''.
