A reception was held in the capital on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey together with the 95th anniversary of the Republic Day and Armed Forces Day hosted by Ambassador of Mongalia Mr. Bold Ravdan

Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy, Deputy Minister of National Defense Alpaslan Kavaklıoğlu and Istanbul Deputy and Marmara Group Foundation Board of Trustees Member Şamil Ayrım and Marmara Group Foundation Deputy Chairman Ali Rıza Arslan, as well as many diplomatic mission representatives attended the reception.

Reception, began with the playing of the national anthems of the two countries after Ambassador Radvan welcomed the guests at the door.

Ambassador Ravdan stated that, although the official relations between the two countries were established 50 years ago, the historical and cultural ties and the friendship between the Mongol-Turkish peoples date back much earlier in his speech at the reception.

Reminding that the friendly relations between Turkey and Mongolia signed the cooperation agreement of 1995, Ravdan underlined that the two countries have developed extensive partnership relations since 2004.

Ravdan while pointing out that they aim to increase the trade volume between the two countries to 300 million dollars stated that "we have many opportunities and areas to achieve this goal. So last year we started to explore the possibilities of creating a Free Trade Agreement".
