Dr. Akkan Suver, who donated 68 cases to the 29 Mayıs University which it composed valuable books in his signed books, evaluated the donation as a small gift to future generations after us. These gifts, including Turkish, English, Montenegro, Bulgarian, French and Russian books, will be displayed on the shelves of the University Library in the near future.

23 April 1920 is the date when the First Grand National Assembly representing the will of the Turkish nation was opened and declared the sovereignty of the Turkish people. On 23 April 1924, Atatürk decided to celebrate '23 April 'as a holiday. Five years later, on April 23, 1929, Atatürk gave this holiday to the children, and April 23 was first celebrated as Children's Day in 1929. In 1979, with the participation of six countries in the first place, this national holiday, which we move to the international dimension, is attended by foreign children who are guests of Turkish children from more than forty countries every year. The Marmara Group Foundation Executive Council has convened

April meeting of the Marmara Group Foundation Executive Council was held. In the Executive Council, the activities that were carried out during the month we left behind were discussed and the activities of May were studied. Engin Köklüçınar was appointed as the Vice-Chairman and General Financial Secretary of the Marmara Group Foundation, and Yüksel Çengel and Ali Rıza Arslan became Vice Chairman. While Cafer Okray was appointed as the General Secretary, Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu was elected as the Dean of the Marmara Group Foundation.

Dr. Akkan Suver, the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, stating that the catastrophic fire that occurred in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is a great disaster, wrote a letter to the French Ambassador and the Consul General of France to İstanbul to express his sorrow on behalf of the civil society. In his letter, he said that; "The world culture has received a large and indescribable wound. Notre Dame Cathedral is the common heritage of all mankind, not only France," Dr. Akkan Suver's letter is as follows; "With the fire in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris an important part of the world culture, a symbol of the world history heritage has been damaged. Humanity has faced a disaster with the burning of Notre Dame. As the Marmara Group Foundation with our civil society identity, we share the pain of Notre Dame fire, which is the legacy of all humanity as well as France."
