We lost our friend Necdet Aygün,Marmara Group Foundation Board of Trustees Member. Our beloved friend Necdet Aygün's funeral was buried at the mosque of Kavaklı Köyü, Silivri in the afternoon of 30 January 2019. Our condolences to his family and the community of Marmara Group Foundation. Rest in peace.

On the anniversary of the events of 20 Janvar, a major disaster in Azerbaijan's history, as the Marmara Group Foundation we are commemorating martyrs with grace and veterans with gratitude. On the anniversary of this great pain Dr.Akkan Suver said that "20 Janvar is a disgrace of the last quarter century we left behind." Dr. Akkan Suver who indicated that this pain should not be forgetten also stated that this massacre has been committed not only to Azerbaijan, but also against Turkishness.

Consul General of Tunisia in Istanbul Hedi Malik visited Dr. Akkan Suver at the Marmara Group Foundation and exchanged ideas regarding the 22nd Eurasian Economy Summit. Dr. Akkan Suver’s visit to Tunisia years ago, the interview he conducted with the Founding President of Tunisia Habib Bourguiba, and the book he wrote on Habib Bourguiba were revered to during the get-together. The two sides agreed to organize an academic meeting on Habib Bourguiba in Istanbul in the fall.
