In the first hours of 2017, we have lost 39 people in the terrorist attack which took place in Reina Nightclub, İstanbul. Dr. Akkan Suver, making a statement upon such terrorist attack which innocent people suffered while celebrating the new year, indicated that “-in reality, this is no more than a new way of an attempt to have a total attack against the mankind. They can neither frighten us nor drift us into a state of chaos. We will stay together against the terrorist threat.” The President of Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver’s statement is as such: “-As Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, the terrorist attack which took place in Reina Nightclub, Istanbul in the first hours of the new year, is a crime committed against all mankind. That incident did not only target our citizens but also our Lebanese, Israeli, Iraqi, Moroccan, Libyan, Saudi Arabian, Tunisian, Hindustani, Jordanian, Kuwaiti, Syrian, Russian, Belgian and Canadian guests. We wish for this incident that targets the mankind as much as Turkey to be the last one. We have full faith in our government to find the perpetrators of this terrorist attack which we curse with our social society identity and to do whatever is necessary until these enemies of the mankind are wiped off. In the meantime, I believe that this incident that we have suffered will bound us more. I also believe that all that has happened will not darken our future; on the contrary, it will conduce us toward brighter days in unity. Our condolences to all humanity.”
