Kazakhstan's Ambassador bids Farewell to Turkey

Kazakhstan Ambassador H.E. Canseyit Tüymebayev bids farewell to Turkey as he leaves for his new post as the Southern State Governor in Kazakhstan. High ranking officials and businessmen have attended to the farewell reception at the Istanbul Intercontinental Hotel. Delivering a speech at the reception, Dr. Akkan Suver remarked the successful and efficient works by the Ambassador during his appointment and because of his achivement in the development of Turkish-Kazakh relations, his warm memories would not be forgotten.

Within the scope of the works of 20th Eurasian Economic Summit, Dr. Akkan Suver has given information to the Consul General of Republic of Poland Hon. Mr. Grzegorz Michalski about the 20th Eurasian Economic Summit during his visit to the Consulate General of Republic of Poland. At the meeting, Mr. Suver has emphasized the importance of participation of Republic of Poland in the Summit and has stated that the Summit will also provide both countries with the enhancement of their related commercial relations.

The Alliance of Civilizations meeting is held in Istanbul with the participation of Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations. The International Conference on “Role of Youth in Preventing & Countering Violent Extremism” was held in Istanbul Hilton Hotel. Tuğrul Türkeş, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey have also participated the conference. Ambassador Ramil Hasnaov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council and Chief Advisor of the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Bekir Karlığa have also addressed the audience at the conference. Dr. Akkan Suver and Atty. Ercüment Güvercin have attended the conference from the Marmara Group Foundation.

Ms.Müjgan Suver represented the Honorary Consulate of Montenegro. The annual program was discussed during the meeting. October 11th International Day of the Girl Child

On December 19, 2011, United Nations General Assembly resolved to declare October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child in the frame of the Sustainable Development Goals. The International Day of the Girl Child focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights through education. Effective supporting of young girls will help the prevention of discrimination and violence they face in their daily life and hence contribute to a stronger and equitable society. In 2016, an action plan primarily for equal access to education was adopted under “ The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals – The empowerment of girls” resolution. The aim is to support girls to be independent and equal members in their family and in their society. As the EU and Human Rights Platform of the Marmara Group Foundation we wish all our children, girls and boys to have an inclusive, equitable, innovative quality education based on scientific contemporary principles and standards. We hope and expect a determined governmental policy to for the implementation of these standards, in this new school year. Somewhere a girl child is waiting for your help.

H.E. Michal Kovac, Slovakia's first president has passed away

Dr. Akkan Suver has signed the book of condolence in honour of H.E. Michal Kovac at the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Istanbul and expressed his condolences. He has stated that he shared the sorrow of the Slovakian People for the loss of H.E. Michal Kovac in the name of the Marmara Group Foundation with its identity as a civil society.

Dr. Akkan Suver and Mrs. Müjgan Suver have attended the reception held in Istanbul, due to the 30th year appointment of the Metropolitan Mor Filüksinos Yusuf Çetin, Patriarchal Vicar of the Syriac Orthodox Church to the Yeşilköy Church. Dr. Suver has made a speech about Mor Filüksinos Yusuf Çetin during the reception. Patriarchal-Vicariate of Argentina Mor Chrysostmos Johanna was also present in the meeting.
