Shimon Peres has passed away

Former President of Israel (2007-2014), Shimon Peres has died. In nearly seventy years of his political life, he had served as Foreign Affairs Minister, Prime Minister and President in Israel. H.E. Shimon Peres had attended to Marmara Group Foundation as a guest speaker in 1996. H.E. Shimon Peres had received the Board of the Marmara Group Foundation during their visit to Israel. During his last visit to Istanbul Mr. Peres, have received the Marmara Group Foundation members lead by Dr. Akkan Suver, in Marmara Group Foundation’s honorary President Mr. Jak Kamhi’s residence. H.E. Peres, a well-known statesman was awarded with Nobel Peace Prize in 1994. Dr. Akkan Suver has signed the book of condolence in honour of Mr. Peres and expressed his condolences to Consul General of Israel in Istanbul Mr .Shai Cohen.

Marmara Group Foundation in 6th Business Conference

Marmara Group Foundation has attended the "South East Europe Tourism" Conference in Belgrade. Dr. Akkan Suver and Mr. Kenan Acıkök have participated to the conference in which the Deputy Minister of Trade, Toursim and Telecommunications of Repuclic of Serbia Ms. Renata Pindzo has made the opening speech. The Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Prof.Dr. Edita Dapo and the Tourism Minister of the Bosnia's Serb Republic H.E. Predrag Gluhakovic were present as the guests of honor at the conference. The conference initiated with the speech given by the CEO of the Mass Media International Mr. Milivoje Radovanic. Dr. Akkan Suver has took floor at the conference and talked about the importance of Religion Tourism in the Tourism Industry. The representatives from Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, People's Republic of China, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, South Korea and Bulgaria have attended the conference.

Müjgan Suver, Chairwomen of the Marmara Group Foundation EU and Human Rights Platform, have attended the meeting, "Development of the NGO Capacity using of Monitoring and Evaluation Tools" organized by the Prime Ministry of Public Officials Ethics Committee. The representatives of various civil society organizations have attended the meeting organized under EU Project Workshop planned in Ankara and in Istanbul, first made in September 19, 2016 on Monday. Processes of Monitoring and Evaluation in the prospect of international and EU norms case studies were also considered at the meeting.

The President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver, and the Members of the Board, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu and Mr. Cafer Okray met Consul General of Hungary in Istanbul Mr. Balazs Hendrich and Commercial Attaché Ms. Zsofia Kakas and exchanged ideas for the 20th Eurasian Economic Summit which will take place on April 4, 2017. The Marmara Group Foundation invited Hungary as a guest country to the 20th Eurasian Economic Summit.

He had been President of Uzbekistan since after the Independence with his productive works for Uzbekistan to become a stable and a modern central Asian country. As Marmara Group Foundation we are deeply saddened by the loss of Great Leader of Uzbekistan İslam Kerimov. Consul General of the Republic of China has finished his term
