Visit to Hrvoje Cvitanovic, Ambassador of Croatia

A delegation consisting of Dr.Akkan Suver, Sezgin Bilgiç, and Oğuzhan Ceylan from the Marmara Group Foundation conducted a working visit to Hrvoje Cvitanovic, the Ambassador of Croatia in Ankara. During the visit, the delegation provided information about the preparations for the 27th Eurasian Economic Summit, which will take place next year. Deputy Head of Mission Lovorka Ostrunic was also present during the visit.

Emil Nasırlıs book on Haydar Aliyev has been introduced

The book titled "100 Memories of Heydar Aliyev's Life," written by Azerbaijani journalist and writer Emil Nasırlı, was introduced at a ceremony held at the Journalists Association in Istanbul During the Book Introduction Ceremony moderated by Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, Emil Nasırlı presented his book and introduced Heydar Aliyev to the attendees from different perspectives. State Minister Ali Talip Özdemir explained Turkey's recognition of Azerbaijan after independence in his speech. Prof. Dr. Özgür Çengel, the Rector of Galata University, highlighted the importance of the book by Emil Nasırlı and addressed the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations in his speech. Dr. Akkan Suver emphasized that this year marks the 100th birth anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijan, and expressed the Marmara Group Foundation's deep respect for Heydar Aliyev's memory, considering his rightful contribution to the formation of the Eurasian Economic Summits, which the Marmara Group Foundation has been organizing continuously for 26 years. The meeting concluded with the author distributing signed copies of his book.

Visit to Kağıthane

The Uzbek guests of the Marmara Group Foundation visited the Sadabad Gardens in Kağıthane, where they toured the Sedef Workshop, Paper Workshop, and Ebru Workshop. As part of the civil society workshop held between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, the Marmara Group Foundation and the Uzbekistan Strategy Center organized a cultural visit. The idea of bringing together shared values emerged during the visit to the workshops where sedef art, paper art, and Ebru art are practiced. During the visit, Mahmut Saklı, a member of the Board of Directors of the Marmara Group Foundation, conveyed the greetings of Dr. Akkan Suver, the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, and expressed readiness for any collaboration to bring together shared values. Eldar Tulyakov, the President of the Uzbekistan Strategy Center, and Sedef Master Hilmi Emekli proposed the concrete implementation of this idea by suggesting the gathering of masters practicing these arts in Uzbekistan and Türkiye. After the program, Deputy Mayor of Kağıthane, Nedret Apaydın, presented a paper produced in the Paper Workshop, and Sedef Master Hilmi Emekli presented a prayer inscribed on wood to Eldor Tulyakov as gifts. During the visit, Hasan Yediyıldız and Faruk Gökyer from the Marmara Group Foundation, as well as executives from the Uzbekistan Strategy Center, were also present.

Uzbeks Perform Music Show in Istanbul

A concert titled "Wedding in Uzbekistan" was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, along with the Uzbekistan Culture Solidarity and Cooperation Association and the Uzbek Women's Rights Association. The concert, attended by Mahmut Saklı, Hasan Yediyıldız, and Faruk Gökyer from the Marmara Group Foundation, featured music performances accompanied by the serving of Uzbek Pilaf. Local artists from Uzbekistan showcased examples of Uzbek folk songs during the evening.

Marmara Group Foundation Visits Kent University

During the visit, Dr. Akkan Suver presented a commemorative painting to the Mesut Yılmaz Library, located on the university campus, in remembrance of Mesut Yılmaz's visit to the Marmara Group Foundation in 2002. Türkiye-Uzbekistan Civil Society Workshop

The workshop titled "Türkiye-Uzbekistan Relations" and "The Republic of Türkiye at 100," organized between the Marmara Group Foundation and the Strategy Development Center under the Presidency of Uzbekistan, took place at Istanbul Kent University from June 21st to June 24th, 2023. A delegation from the Uzbekistan Strategy Development Center, led by Eldor Tulyakov and consisting of Furqat Yunusov, Nilufar Doniyorkhodjaeva, and Farrukh Khakimov, delivered an extensive presentation on Türkiye-Uzbekistan relations. Dr. Akkan Suver also gave a promotional speech about the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, discussing the formation of our Republic and its journey up to the present day. The workshop was attended by Cafer Okray, Belgin Tanrıverdi, Hasan Yediyıldız, Att. Murat Keçeciler, Nimet Ulubay, Prof. Dr. Figen Yıldırım, Rahmi Dilek, Mustafa Ergin, Engin Köklüçınar, Abuzer Sarı, Murat Uçak, and Mahmut Saklı from the Marmara Group Foundation. Amirsaid Agzamkhodjayev, the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, was also present. After the meeting, Dr. Akkan Suver presented Eldor Tulyakov with commemorative gifts from the Marmara Group Foundation. In return, Eldor Tulyakov gifted Dr. Akkan Suver a handmade chess set.
