Visit to Ambassador of Türkiye to Belgrade

President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr Akkan Suver on the occasion of the Sixtieth Plenary Session General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization which held in Belgrade, visited the Ambassador of Türkiye to Belgrade Hami Aksoy, in his office. During the visit, Dr Akkan Suver made a presentation to Ambassador Hami Aksoy about the 26th Eurasian Economic Summit. Umit Öktem, a Counsellor of the Embassy, was also present during the visit.

Inviting the Governor of Istanbul, Ali Yerlikaya, to the opening of the 26th Eurasian Economic Summit, the Delegation also explained the work of the Summit. The visit ended with the taking of memory photo.

Opened Condolence Book of Jiang Zemin

President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Istanbul to commemorate the passing of the President of the People's Republic of China Jiang Zemin (1893 - 2003). Dr. Akkan Suver wrote in the Book of Condolences: "We bow respectfully before the cherished memory of President Jiang Zemin, who has the Three Represents philosophies in the People's Republic of China."

The Founding Anniversary of the Istanbul Greek Patriarchate was celebrated.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew gave a reception on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the Istanbul Greek Orthodox Patriarchate by the Apostle St. Andrea. The reception started with a concert by Soprano Esra Özbir accompanied by pianist Baruş Büyükyıldırım. Afterwards, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew gave a speech in Greek, Turkish and English with the content of peace giving information about the history of the Patriarchate. At the reception, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Özlem Bozkurt Gevrek, Foreign Mission Chiefs, Spiritual Leaders, Civil Society Leaders and Greek citizens were present. Dr. Akkan Suver, Müjgan Suver and Mahmut Saklı also represented as the Marmara Group Foundation at the reception.
