My Condolences to Great Turkish Nation

Saturday, Feburary 28, 2020 - Read : 2122

The martyrdom of our sons hurts us! Syria fires bullets, throws bombs on humanity. Our pain is great. Deep it is. The day is the day of unity and solidarity. The day is the day of being of one hearth. While we were waiting for the hands which hurt our sons will be broken, we regret to watch the humanity remain spectators. We wish patience to the Great Turkish Nation with our belief the Syria and its followers who commit crimes against humanity will not get away with these murders. My condolences to our nation!

Making a statement on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation due to the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly disaster, Dr. Akkan Suver stated that I believe that young people of the Turkish world should not forget Khojaly." Dr. Akkan Suver's statement is as follows: " Twenty-eight years ago, Armenia carried out an unprecedented massacre in history. 613 innocent Azerbaijan son were brutally murdered in the disaster in the Khojaly town of Azerbaijan. Despite the twenty-five years that have passed, we observe that the Khojaly Massacre has not been handled properly. It is nothing but a shame on behalf of humanity that a serious investigation about the Khojaly Massacre and an international criminal court has not been launched yet. The fact that international initiatives remain in the paper about the return of the occupied Azerbaijani lands to Azerbaijan, not turning into action, leads us to move away from trust in our future. Those who are under the age of forty nowadays may not know the Khojaly Massacre. I believe that our generation is responsible for transferring the Khojaly Massacre to the memories of new generation. To summarize briefly, what happened is not just the massacre of people. 28 years ago, Armenians entering to the Khojaly town in Nagorno-Karabagh region with the support of 336rd Soviet Mechanised Troop realized an unprecedented massacre with torture methods without any exception to women, children, men. According to the examinations made on slaughtered people, most of them burned and gouged out their eyes; the fact of pregnant women and children was the subject of this massacre was proven with the reports prepared by international organizations and objective foreign observers. This savageness has occurred in front of the whole world. I am not in favor of instilling hatred to the new generations. However, I believe that young people from the Turkish world should not forget Khojaly.
