It is with great regret that we received the news of the death of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, outstanding statesman, public and political figure Islam Kerimov.

He had been President of Uzbekistan since after the Independence with his productive works for Uzbekistan to become a stable and a modern central Asian country.

As Marmara Group Foundation we are deeply saddened by the loss of Great Leader of Uzbekistan Islam Kerimov.

In this moment of grief, on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation we extend our sincere sympathies to the entire Turkish World and our deepest condolences all the people of brotherly Uzbekistan over this irretrievable loss.

Dr. Akkan Suver was out of country when President Islam Kerimov’s death was announced. After returning to country Mr. Suver visited Uzbekistan Consulate ( Hon. Şuhrat Aminov) to give condolences. During the visit, headed by Dr. Akkan Suver, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu and Mr. Cafer Okray representing Marmara Group Foundation, remembrances of Pres. Islam Kerimov had focused on his remarkable importance for Turkish World.
