“To change the perceptions abroad, you need to the change domestic facts”

Ministry of EU and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır introduced the basic principles of Turkey’s New EU Communication Strategy in the meeting of “Turkey’s New EU Communication Strategy Dialogue with Civil Society” and in the meeting Müjgan Suver gave a speech and said: “I would like to thank to Ministry of EU that held the meeting. As Marmara Group Foundation, we implemented many EU projects in order to contribute to women employment in some villages of Kars and Kırklareli. However, for sustainability, local actors and mechanisms should embrace and control the project.

Müjgan Suver addressed Ministry of EU and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır’s sentence about the negative perceptions of foreign countries has to be changed concerning Turkey’s membership to EU and add that the importance of positive perceptions about EU communication strategy, you need to change domestic facts to positive.

Müjgan Suver stressed the need of providing consensus in terms of EU values concerning transparency and accountability and underlined that decision makers have to adopt and implement these values.
