Referendum of Kurdish Region is Illegal

Dr. Akkan Suver applied to international NGOs on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation and described the so-called election held in the Kurdish region of Iraq as an illegal attempt.

This illegal election is aimed at neglecting, the Turkmens and Arabs living in the region and encouraging a new turmoil, disruptions and unrest in our region.

As the Marmara Group Foundation, we "ignore" the so-called election with our civil society identity.

The statement Akkan Suver sent to international civilian think tanks is exactly the same as:

"The so-called referendum held in the Kurdish region of Iraq has opened a new door to restlessness. This so-called referendum will force the Kurds in the region to pay for their mistake in the direction of the plans and calculations of the great powers.

This illegal referendum causes instability. The so-called referendum has put Iraq's territorial integrity in jeopardy.

It is a fact that this illegal referendum, which the whole world is against, will cause Kurds to be troubled in terms of diplomatic, political, economic and security.

They will lose their foreign capital investments.

They will suffer losses from the natural gas and oil sectors. But above all, it will lead to the process of deterioration of Iraq.We warn with our civil society identity; stay away from separate and contradictory behaviors, and efforts to change the Turkmen and Arab population structure, but try to find the cooperation gate.

Otherwise, you will do great harm to yourself and the people of the region."
