President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, awarded Şamil Ayrım, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Marmara Group Foundation, and Istanbul Deputy, with the Medal of Friendship. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Ceyhun Bayramov presented the medal to Şamil Ayrım at an official ceremony held at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara. On the occasion of the presentation ceremony, President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver presented a letter to the President of Azerbaijan, İlham Aliyev, through the Embassy, to thank him on behalf of the Foundation.
Şamil Ayrım was previously honored with the Azerbaijan Progress Medal in 2011.

President of Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver also was honored by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with the Medal of Progress in 2006 and the Medal of Friendship in 2011.

The Marmara Group Foundation is grateful for its two members to be honored with medals by the President of Azerbaijan in separate time periods.
