The Alliance of Civilizations meeting is held in Istanbul with the participation of Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations. The International Conference on “Role of Youth in Preventing & Countering Violent Extremism” was held in Istanbul Hilton Hotel. Tuğrul Türkeş, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey have also participated the conference. Ambassador Ramil Hasnaov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council and Chief Advisor of the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Bekir Karlığa have also addressed the audience at the conference. Dr. Akkan Suver and Atty. Ercüment Güvercin have attended the conference from the Marmara Group Foundation.

The Opening Ceremony of the International Conference on the “Role of Youth in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism: Holistic Approaches from Education to De-Radicalization” co-organized by the Turkic Council and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations started. At the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey HE. Tuğrul Türkeş, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ambassador Ramil Hasanov and Prof. Dr. Bekir Karlığa addressed the participants.
