Women's Initiative for Peace was established by the women of two neighboring country, Turkey and Greece following the Kardak Crisis –which was about to result in war between the parties – to strengthen peace, democracy, human rights, economic and social justice and ensure the development of the related countries. The Presidency is co-chaired by Zeynep Oral in Turkey and Margarita Papandreou in Greece. In the Women's Initiative for Peace represented by the involvement of several NGO's, Mrs. Müjgan Suver, the President of the EU and Human Rights Platform of the Marmara Group Foundation takes part on behalf of her organization.

Winpace at Second Annual Meeting

The Winpeace Group which has also members of the Marmara Group Foundation held its second annual meeting in Istanbul. In addition to EU and Human Rights Platform President Müjgan Suver, Gülriz Yıldırım, Nur Mardin, Şule Bucak, Jennifer Serter, Nilgün Lermioğlu, Zeynep Oral and Feriha Erfan attended the meeting. The participants talked about the preparations for the youth camp project planned for this summer season in Cyprus.

After a general evaluation, presenting the information regarding her visit to Cyprus , Zeynep Oral brought forward the offer Mrs. Meral Akıncı, the wife of the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus H.E. Mustafa Akıncı to have metting in Cyprus.
