Süleyman Demirel was commemorated at a special meeting organized in Istanbul.

At the meeting, which started with the opening speech of Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Hikmet Çetin, Cavit Çağlar, Ali Naili Erdem, Dr. Aylin Cesur and Dr. Mehmet Haberal, who were friends of Süleyman Demirel, took the floor separately and told their memories about Demirel. The famous historian İlber Ortaylı also gave his views on Süleyman Demirel. Dr. Akkan Suver, Müjgan Suver, Ertuğrul Kumcuoğlu, Engin Köklüçınar and Ahmed Polat from Marmara Group Foundation were also present at the meeting moderated by Hamdi Üçpınar.

Good Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğiu also took the floor and shared his thoughts on Demirel.
