On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), a reception was hosted by Zalihe Mendeli, the TRNC Consul General in Istanbul.

The event was attended by TRNC Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu and his wife, Oya Ertuğruloğlu, bringing together a distinguished group of guests.
The Marmara Group Foundation participated in the reception with a delegation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Müjgan Suver, Mahmut Saklı, Oğuzhan Ceylan, Prof. Dr. Uğur Özgöker, Sevda Özgöker, Adem Ceylan and Nurşen Ceylan.

Following the reception, Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, made a statement:"We celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, respectfully commemorating Dr. Fazıl Küçük, who initiated the statehood process, and Rauf Raif Denktaş, who crowned it. I also respectfully remember the members of the then-Federal Assembly who approved this historic founding decision.”
