Making a speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver invited member countries to the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit. Dr. Akkan Suver also expressed gratitude to the PABSEC Family on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation for the participation of the PABSEC Secretaries General and Members of Parliament at every Summit for the last 25 years.

Dr. Akkan Suver's speech in the General Assembly is as follows:

"I respectfully greet the participants of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation from Istanbul on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation with our civil society identity.

I have taken the floor to inform your high delegation about the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit, which will be held on 7, 8, 9 June 2022 next year, and to invite the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.

As you know, it is not easy for a non-governmental organization to continue an international event for 25 years.

PABSEC was present at every stage of this 25 years of great success.

In the past 25 years, PABSEC Family was represented at the level of Secretary General and Member of Parliament. As the Marmara Group Foundation, we are grateful to each and every one of you, especially the Honorable Secretaries General.

The 25th Eurasian Economic Summit will convene next year with the title of "A New Energy Economy".

We would like to hear from you at the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit, what we can do and what we can expect in the Black Sea Region on our planet, which is struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the environmental problems and climate crisis.

At the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit, we would like to discuss clean energy technology and its market share in the Black Sea Region in the light of the Paris Agreement and Glasgow Conference.

We will also discuss the future of the energy roadmap of the Belt and Road Project, which we attach great importance to in the framework of the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit.

Particularly, we will discuss the situation in the Black Sea region regarding the rules to be created under the protection of the United Nations about the implementation of the Green Investment Principles for the Belt and Road countries, initiated with the partnership of China and England. We will also talk about the points that the global warming will reach in the Black Sea countries if the Belt and Road Project countries fail to decarbonize their investments. We also attach great importance to the possibility and ability of the Black Sea countries to create a regional and global smart power within the Belt and Road Initiative.

As I shared with your high delegation before, we, as the Marmara Group Foundation, consider the Belt and Road Project as an initiative for stability and peace; therefore we attach great importance to the environmental and climate measures taken by this project. And we want to talk about their connection with global environmental problems in the Black Sea Region.

At the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit, we will discuss the increasing role of the Black Sea Region countries in the production of goods and services and their contribution to global costs and profitability. As a climate-friendly alternative, at the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit, we will also ensure that the economy, democracy and technology problems and solutions to these problems and issues such as climate crisis and gender equality, which are parallel to these issues, are discussed from the perspective of education.

Each of the topics will be opened to discussion to the perspectives of academicians, administrators, politicians and business people who are experts in their fields as well as citizens.

To summarize, the main aim of the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit will be to address the environmental problems and gender equality, which are the most important topics of today, on the basis of education, in the plans and programs of local and national governments on economy, democracy and technology. We will open the aforementioned topics for discussion with International Municipalities, Religious Leaders, Academics, Statesmen, Suppliers and Business People.

Considering these issues, I invite your high delegation to the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit, which will be held on 7, 8, 9 June 2022.

I respectfully greet your high delegation on behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation for giving me this opportunity, and wish you all health."
