Atatürk Statue in Kazakhstan

In Almaty, Kazakhstan, at Atatürk Park located on El-Farabi Boulevard, an Atatürk Statue erected on a granite pedestal was unveiled during a ceremony.

The 3-meter-high Atatürk Statue was crafted by Kazakh sculptors Aidos Burkitbayer and Timur Burkitbayer.

The opening ceremony of the Atatürk Statue, inaugurated by Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture Aida Baleyeva, was attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Astana Mustafa Kapucu, Secretary-General of TÜRKSOY Sultan Raev, and Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosoyer.

In honor of the unveiling of the Atatürk Statue, Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, sent a letter of thanks to Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Ankara, and Nuriddin Amankul, Kazakhstan's Consul General in Istanbul.

Dr. Akkan Suver's letter read as follows:“As a shining example of the graciousness of the Kazakh State and People, the Atatürk Statue you have erected has filled us with pride and joy.Through your esteemed personage, we, as the Marmara Group Foundation, extend our gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan and our Kazakh brothers and sisters.

Please accept our deepest respects.”
