On the Occasion of the 50^th Anniversary of Independence and National Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh; The Consul General of Bangladesh in Istanbul Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam gave one reception. 

In his speech Dr.Islam said;" We celebrate this year the fiftieth anniversary of Bangladesh's Indepedence as well as the hundredth birthday of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman." Dr.Akkan Suver attended the Reception together with the Consul Generals of China, India and Ukraine.
