‘Democratic Participation Mechanisms Seminar’ was held at the European Research Institute in Marmara University’s Göztepe Campus. Mrs. Pınar Türenç, the Chairwoman of the Press Council attended as a guest speaker.

Pınar Türenç serves as the Chairwoman of the Press Council since 2013 and has undertaken the duty of chief representative of Turkey Journalists' Union. In addition, she carried on her works at European Movement 2002 Enterprise Group, KA.DER and Women's Candidates Training and Support Association.

Türenç, in her speech; it is important for us to look at the big framework, not just the community we are in, and to find solutions to the problems of our country and it is possible to be a participant in many different ways, the one only has to take initiative for this.
