A giant crowd of more than five million people has gathered in Istanbul at Yenikapı waterfront for the Democracy rally. To condemn the failed military coup attempt of 15th July, 2016 by FETO terror organization, with the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan AKP, CHP and MHP party leaders also joined the gathering to address the crowd. Along with the leaders, General Commander of the Army Hulusi Akar and the Speaker of the Parliament Ismail Kahraman have made speeches.

Speakers have strongly pointed their support to Democracy and the importance of the Democratic principles which founder of the Republic Great Ataturk had stated as our common values.

Participants named this historical meeting as the "New Gate (Yeni Kapı) of Democracy" where Marmara Group Foundation members also attented to the gathering.
