We want to be partners, and friends.

Marmara Group Foundation with it's civil society identity operates what needs to be done to develop mutual relations between Turkey and Malta. We continue to work together with the responsibility of having a very good cooperation environment. We realize that Malta has a high strategic potential. Because of its location Malta is in the heart of Europe. Also Turkey contains a similar potential. Turkey is an important country for regions such as Eurasian and Mediterranean. Within the geography of Eurasia, Malta which is located in the heart of Europe and Turkey which forms a center between Asia, Europe and Africa, are two countries that have geopolitical importance in the Mediterranean.

As the Marmara Group Foundation, we know that Maltese companies are pursuing new initiatives internationally. In Turkey, we want to take part of opening of Malta to foreign countries. Our diplomatic and political relations are decent, we have to put this into more concrete business collaborations and private sector collaborations. We have to increase our social and economic relations to higher levels, to bring our people together and to pave the way for sustainable friendships. As the Marmara Group Foundation, we do not just want to be acquainted, but also to be partners and friends; we must do it for the benefit of our people and our region.

As Marmara Group Foundation, during our visit to Malta, we saw examples of historical and cultural associations between us. We believe that efforts should be made to transfer those associations to the field of economy. Our common friendship with Edward De Bono, one of the most important thinkers of Malta, is the most valuable sign of our closeness to this island.
