Marmara Group Foundation’s Visit to Sarajevo

                Marmara Group Foundation made a two-day working visit to Sarajevo within the framework of the 25th Eurasian Economic Summit preparations.

The delegation, which was also accepted by the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Čavara during their visit as the Marmara Group Foundation with their civil society identity, started their visits with Sadık Babür Girgin, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Sarajevo. Before starting their works, Dr. Akkan Suver and Cafer Okray left flowers on Aliya Izzetbegovic's Mausoleum and paid homage.

The Delegation consisting of Dr. Akkan Suver, Cafer Okray, Sezgin Bilgiç, Oğuzhan Ceylan, Atty. Belgin Tanriverdi and Hosni Dami; visited Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto, Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Melika Mahmutbegovic, Mayor of Sarajevo Benjamina Karić, Mayor of Stari Grad Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of BiH Nermin Džindić, and Secretary of the Governmet of FBiH Edita Kalajdžić.

The delegation of the Marmara Group Foundation was also accepted by the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of a new cooperation between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of civil society. At the ceremony where the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the President of the Marmara Group Foundation Dr. Akkan Suver and President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ahmet Egrlić, Commercial Counselor of the Turkish Embassy in Sarajevo Sevgin Güngör was also present.

After a successful visit, Dr. Akkan Suver stated the following to the media outlets of Bosnia and Herzegovina; “We are here to promote the Eurasian Economic Summit. We attach great importance to the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to our Summit.”.
