A delegation of the Marmara Group Foundation including Dr. Akkan Suver, Mr Şamil Ayrım, Mr Cafer Okray and Ms Özge Bingüler attended the ‘’Great Regional Oil and Gas Summit’’ held in Istanbul. The Summit was joined by the Vice-Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan as well as the Representatives from Shell, BP, Turkish Petroleum, SOCAR.

During the GREAT Regional Petroleum and Natural Gas Summit held at the historic Çırağan Palace of Istanbul, the participants underlined the fact Turkey and England had had good relations for many years and the mutual trade volume of both countries in the previous year was said to have exceed 11, 2 Billion Pounds. Moreover, the Speakers emphasized the important role of Turkey in terms of the global energy security. With the help of Turkey, the possibility of covering the energy need of Europe by supplying alternative resources through the countries of Caspian Region and Mideast was brought on the agenda as well.
