The Marmara Group Foundation acts with the responsibility of playing a constructive role in the relations between Turkey and France in its capacity as a civil society organization. Years ago, in meetings held at the French Senate with Turkish and French statesmen, academics, diplomats, and businesspeople, it facilitated the formation of a first in the field of civil thought. Thus, topics regarding what the two countries could jointly undertake in third countries in the civil society domain were brought to the agenda. The Marmara Group Foundation also works to encourage and promote joint operations of companies from the two countries in third countries as well as in Turkey and France in commercial fields. As a civil society organization, the Marmara Group Foundation strives to play a role not only culturally but also in terms of opportunities, trade, and economy.

The Marmara Group Foundation has adopted as a goal to serve the increase of trade volume between the two countries to 20 billion euros by encouraging Turkish and French businesspeople.

As civil thought, we also hope to see France's support in EU meetings and processes, bearing the responsibility that we need France's support regarding the EU. Because the Marmara Group Foundation attaches great importance to EU membership.

Meanwhile, at the Eurasian Economic Summits held, France is represented at the level of Member of Parliament, Senator, and former Minister, which further strengthens our work as civil thought in the fields of trade and economy.
