A Woman's Touch on Organic Honey

A Woman's Touch on Organic Honey: In a joint initiative by Kafkas University and the Marmara Group Foundation, beekeeping and organic honey production training has begun for 40 unemployed women in Kars.

Within the scope of the 'Human Resources Development' component of the financial cooperation between Turkey and the European Union, the Women's Employment Program was developed to increase women's participation in the workforce. Discussions were held with Kafkas University, one of the institutions connected by the Marmara Group Foundation, which implements the program, regarding organic honey production, and a common working ground was prepared.

Street Festivals

Mujgan Suver, Coordinator of EU Projects at the Marmara Strategic and Social Research Foundation, stated, "With the four beehives and beekeeping equipment we provided, they have started practical training under the supervision of two beekeeping technicians." Suver continued: "Within the scope of the project, a street festival will be held in Kars on July 14-15, where the produced honey will be introduced to the public. I congratulate once again the women who have started this work and wish them success in their efforts. Additionally, our work on women's employment will continue at the same pace in different fields."
