In the morning session titled "Political Developments and Situation Assessment," discussions were held on recent developments, closed civil society organizations and freedom of association, the state of emergency and decree-laws processes, points the Network should consider, and the Network's message.
In the afternoon session, members shared their views under the headings "Checks and Balances Network's upcoming period activities" and "Time for Rooting, Not Branching Out: Internal Work of the Network."
The meeting with members, organized as part of a series previously held in Izmir and Adana, will continue with meetings in Bursa, Ankara, Kayseri, Erzurum, Diyarbakır, and Samsun following Istanbul.
The Istanbul meeting concluded with the decision to share the views expressed during the discussions on the country agenda and the planned work to increase member participation within the network structure with all network members after the completion of the meeting series with members.
