Prof. Dr. Tunç Erem, a founding member of the Marmara Group Foundation and President of its Academic Council from 2007 to 2010, has passed away.

Dr. Akkan Suver remembered him as an elegant Istanbul gentleman whose ideas and leadership had guided the Foundation from its earliest days. Prof. Erem received the Foundation's Medal of Honour in 2014.

The Marmara Group Foundation extends its condolences to his wife Azra İnci Erem, his family and loved ones.
