The Marmara Group Foundation held its Love and Peace Iftar at the Tasyapi Ballroom on 25 February 2026. Forty-one heads of foreign missions, thirteen deputy consuls, faith leaders, parliamentarians, former ministers and ambassadors attended.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Armenian Patriarch Sahak Mashalian, Chief Rabbi David Sevi, Syriac Catholic Patriarchal Vicar Orhan Canli, Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan Yusuf Cetin and Prof. Dr. Ali Bardakoglu were among the guests.

Dr. Akkan Suver said the iftars, held since 1998 in a multicultural, multireligious and multilingual atmosphere, aimed to serve peace and Türkiye's stability. During the programme Monsignor Orhan Canli presented Dr. Suver with a Papal Medal sent by Pope Leo XIV.
