The Marmara Group Foundation held the "80 Years of the Great Peace" workshop at Sait Halim Pasha Mansion on 26 August 2025 to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

The event opened with a video message from Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade and was moderated by Secretary General Sezgin Bilgic.

Prof. Dr. Ilber Ortayli reviewed the war and its lasting consequences; Prof. Dr. Hasan Unal discussed the emerging multipolar order; Prof. Dr. Nilufer Narli highlighted women's role as the unseen heroes of war; and Chinese Consul General Wei Xiaodong addressed justice and peace in international relations.

More than 300 diplomats, academics and businesspeople attended. Dr. Akkan Suver thanked the speakers and reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to peace and international cooperation.
