Dr. Akkan Suver, Sezgin Bilgic and Isil Bilgic attended the 65th PABSEC General Assembly in Baku.

Dr. Suver commemorated Turkish President Suleyman Demirel on the tenth anniversary of his death and described his leading role in establishing BSEC and PABSEC.

He praised Demirel as a leader of peace, democracy, dialogue and diplomacy who believed regional institutions build trust and protect peace. Dr. Suver said this vision also inspired the Foundation and the Eurasian Economic Summits.

The Foundation continues to regard respect for institutions, skilled diplomacy and the pursuit of lasting peace as central principles inherited from Demirel.
