Mr. Mustafa Ergin, a Board of Trustees member of the Marmara Group Foundation who is conducting engagements on behalf of civil society in the People's Republic of China, toured the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) area.
Launched in 1994 as a key example of intergovernmental cooperation between China and Singapore, the SIP serves as an innovation hub bringing together high-tech sectors, smart manufacturing, digitalization, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and next-generation material technologies. Following his visit to the center, Mr. Mustafa Ergin made a statement to the Chinese media:
"During our tour, we had the opportunity to gain insights into China’s technology-driven development model, the integration of industry and innovation, the international investment climate, and initiatives regarding smart manufacturing. We observed that the SIP stands out particularly due to its openness to international partnerships and the production and R&D ecosystem it has established with global companies.
As the Marmara Group Foundation, we believe in the importance of dialogue, economic cooperation, and the mutual exchange of knowledge and experience among nations. We trust that these engagements in China will contribute to a deeper assessment of the economic, technological, and cultural relations between Turkey and China."
