Hon. Mme. Margarita Papandreou, who served as the president of WINPEACE (Turkish-Greek Women's Friendship Group)—an organization that also included Mme. Müjgan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation's EU and Human Rights Platform—has passed away. Following her death, Mme. Müjgan Suver sent a message of condolence to her son, former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, stating: "Hon. Mme. Margarita Papandreou will be remembered for the fruitful work she carried out in the field of peace over many years."
