Hon. Prof. Dr. İoanna Kuçuradi, President of the Philosophical Society of Türkiye and a world-renowned philosopher, was bid farewell on her final journey through two separate ceremonies held in Istanbul on October 4, 2026.

Hon. Prof. Dr. İoanna Kuçuradi, a volunteer with the Marmara Group Foundation, had passed away just two days before her 90th birthday. A ceremony was first held at the Maltepe University Conference Hall for this esteemed scholar, who was laid to rest on the day she would have turned 90. The university rector, politicians, local officials, representatives of the Marmara Group Foundation, colleagues, relatives, and numerous philosophy students attended the ceremony to pay their respects and deliver speeches. Following the farewell at the university, Hon. Prof. Dr. Kuçuradi’s remains were brought to the Şişli Greek Orthodox Cemetery. After a religious service held in the cemetery's church, she was laid to rest amidst applause.
Marmara Group Foundation Executive Council members Hon. Mr. Zafer Yılmaz and Hon. Mr. Ferit Sağ were also present at the funeral.
