In context of Checks and Balances network activities, Marmara Group Foundation Chairman of the EU Platform for Human Rights Müjgan Suver, with ten representatives of NGO's, discussed the  aims and ideas of pluralistic and participatory democracy  with Joe Biden in Istanbul.

The participants talked about network's goals and ideals about pluralistic democracy. Represantatives, explained why they recommend to further the representative democracy in Turkey, for balance and control mechanisms as a model; they also share their views for new constitution and regulations legally and institutionally about state-citizen relations. US Vice President Joe Biden, expressed the importance of seperation of powers  between the institutions. He appointed on importance of sustainability of political and institutional reforms.
