On behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, Vice President Cafer Okray and Executive Council Member Mahmut Saklı signed the Book of Condolence opened at the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Istanbul following the plane crash in Bangladesh.

Mahmut Saklı wrote in the Book of Condolence: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of many innocent lives, most of whom were children, as a result of a military aircraft crashing into an educational institution in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. This tragic event is not only a sorrow for the people of Bangladesh, but a shared grief for all humanity.

On behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, I convey this message of condolence both in my own name and on behalf of our President Dr. Akkan Suver, who is currently abroad. We pray for mercy upon those who lost their lives, wish a swift recovery to the injured, and extend our heartfelt condolences to the people and state of Bangladesh.

As members of civil society in Turkey, we consider it a moral responsibility to express our heartfelt solidarity with you in these painful days.
