We have lost Hon. Mr. Abdülkadir Eriş, one of the founders of the Marmara Group Foundation. Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation, issued a statement regarding the passing of our founding member, late friend Kadir Eriş: "-We have lost our dear friend Hon. Mr. Kadir Eriş. Our deepest condolences. Hon. Mr. Kadir Eriş, with whom we had worked since 1985, was a friend who always played a pioneering and voluntary role in our endeavors. We have lost Hon. Mr. Çetin Gürel, the owner of *Gözlem* newspaper and a veteran of the İzmir press community. Dr. Akkan Suver issued a statement regarding the passing of Hon. Mr. Çetin Gürel—a loyal friend of the Marmara Group Foundation—saying: (-The grief and sorrow we feel over the tragic loss of Hon. Mr Çetin Gürel are indescribable. We will always remember Hon. The Karabakh Victory Will Now Live On in Coins

Mrs. Nermina Mustafayeva, the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, presented a silver commemorative coin—commissioned from the Mint to honor the magnificent memory of the Karabakh Victory—to Dr. Akkan Suver. While presenting the gift, Consul General Nermina Mustafayeva said: "Dear Dr. Akkan Suver, I am pleased to present to you this commemorative coin, specially minted by the Mint in honor of the Karabakh Victory. I offer my deepest respects on this occasion." Making a statement following the presentation, Dr. Akkan Suver said: "I attach great importance to this gift and consider it both meaningful and significant. It is significant and important because it will serve as a new resource for keeping the memory of the Karabakh Victory alive in Türkiye for future generations.
