A Meaningful Social Responsibility Project by Davut Gül

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül gave a presentation introducing the “A Meal from the Heart” project, implemented by the Istanbul Children Foundation, of which he serves as Chairman. The project aims to provide free meals to students in need. The introductory meeting, where the initiative was presented with the support of philanthropists, was attended by Mahmut Saklı and Zafer Yılmaz, Members of the Executive Council of the Marmara Group Foundation. In his speech, Governor Davut Gül emphasized the importance of the project in helping children continue their education in a healthier and stronger way. He described “A Meal from the Heart” as a meaningful example of social solidarity and thanked all donors who contributed to the initiative.

Workshop and Certificate Ceremony Held in Avcılar for the “Disaster-Resilient Cities: Avcılar Project”

An informational workshop and certificate ceremony were held in Avcılar as part of the Disaster-Resilient Cities: Avcılar Project, jointly carried out by the Marmara Group Foundation and the Municipality of Avcılar. The event brought together municipal officials and neighborhood headmen (muhtars) for a comprehensive project presentation. The meeting, which took place at the Barış Manço Cultural Center with a large audience in attendance, began with the opening speech by Dr. Akkan Suver. The program continued with remarks by Yüksel Can, Deputy Mayor of Avcılar. Subsequently, the session featured individual presentations by distinguished experts and officials: Prof. Dr. Haluk Özener, Director of AFAD Istanbul; Ergün Cebeci, Head of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Department; Dr. Mehmet Doğu from Istanbul Technical University (ITU); Burak Çatlıoğlu, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Geological Engineers; Ayşe Deniz Arıkan from the EU Istanbul Office; and Prof. Dr. Seda Kundakçı from Istanbul Technical University. Following the presentations, volunteers from Avcılar who had been actively involved as project stakeholders over the past year in the Disaster-Resilient Cities: Avcılar Project were awarded certificates by Deputy Mayor Yüksel Can. During the same ceremony, Yüksel Can also presented certificates of appreciation to key contributors from the Marmara Group Foundation: Müjgan Suver, Lale Aytanç Nalbant, Muhanned Akyol, İmren Karataş, Teoman Hüner, and Kenan Mert.

Ece Şahin Launches BEECE Academy

Visit to Alexander Kalachev

Taher Al Masri Received the Marmara Group Foundation

During their contacts in Amman regarding the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit, the Chairman of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver, and the Secretary General, Sezgin Bilgiç, were received by Taher Al Masri, former Prime Minister of Jordan (1991) and former Speaker of the Parliament (1993–1995).
