Montenegro's Ambassador to Ankara, H.E. Perisa Kastratovic, held a reception in Ankara on the occasion of Montenegro State Day. The reception was attended by the Minister of Culture and Tourism H.E. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Montenegro's Honorary Consul in Balıkesir Dr. Akkan Suver, the Secretary General of the Marmara Group Foundation Cafer Okray, and many other guests. In his speech, H.E. Ambassador Kastratovic thanked the guests for attending the reception.

H.E. Perisa Kastratovic noted that Montenegro opened its diplomatic mission in Istanbul in 1879, stating, "This mission was, for a time, the only diplomatic mission in the world. This year, we are celebrating the 145th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Principality of Montenegro and the Ottoman Empire."

Tourism Minister H.E. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who attended the reception, also expressed his heartfelt congratulations on Montenegro State Day, saying, "Turkey shares a common history and culture with Montenegro. This shared historical and cultural background, the strong human bonds between our nations, our friendly political relations, and the mutual support of our countries on international platforms form the solid foundations of our cooperation."
