The Marmara Group Foundation strongly condemns the drones launched today by Iran targeting the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan.

On this matter, the President of the Marmara Group Foundation, Dr. Akkan Suver, conveyed in a message, on behalf of Turkish civil society, his sorrow and best wishes to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

As the Marmara Group Foundation, we strongly condemn, in our capacity as a civil society organization, the drones that struck the airport terminal building of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the village of Shakarabad.

This attack not only violates international norms and principles, but also serves no purpose other than increasing tensions in the region.

We emphasize the importance of the State of Iran providing clarification and a full explanation at the earliest possible time regarding this action taken against brotherly Azerbaijan, and of ensuring that such incidents are not repeated. Through Your Excellency, we extend our heartfelt get-well wishes and solidarity to dear Azerbaijan.
